Doltone House is rapidly expanding and we are currently seeking a results-driven, passionate Relationship/Business Development Manager to join the team at our newest venue addition, Doltone House Marconi in Western Sydney.  We are currently taking bookings for 2020 so the role is to start in January 2020 to facilitate enquiries during the exciting period of the lead up to the opening of this new space with Doltone flare. 

 

This role will involve spreading the word to develop new business, growing and interacting with a portfolio of clients and working closely with senior sales management and a dedicated support team to ensure client retention and satisfaction.

 

To be successful in this role, you will need to understand the importance of developing strong working relationships and a proven record of meeting sales targets.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Demonstrating our core values – Passion, Commitment, Integrity, Trust, Courage and Respect
  • Developing strong relationships with new and existing clients to help them in their buying journey
  • Acquiring and following up on leads including preparing and presenting event proposals
  • Facilitating venue site inspections with clients
  • Meeting and entertaining clients at their premises/location
  • Developing deep knowledge and understanding across specific industry sectors
  • Meeting revenue targets through securing events business
  • Attending network events as appropriate
  • Ensuring all documentation is accurate and timely in and our CRM system

Experience required:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in account management / business development
  • Proven successful record in a similar sales capacity – preferably in MICE/events industry
  • Knowledge of CRM software
  • Must have driver’s licence and own vehicle for on the road client visits

Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, especially written and verbal
  • Able to work autonomously
  • Ability to foster and maintain positive client relationships
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent presentation
  • Proficient in using computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Capable of meeting deadlines and tasks within a busy environment
  • Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to actively listen and contribute to discussions
